Baby wildlife abounds in Pagosa country at mid-summer. These two young raccoons take a trip in a field with their mother, no doubt in search of food and, perhaps, some play time. Pagosans and visitors are reminded not to provide food for wildlife, to leave all young wildlife alone and, when encountering animals in distress, to call the Division of Wildlife.
Pagosa Springs Rotary Club’s first annual Bearded Turkey Competition was held April 11-May 24 to raise money for our local scholarship fund, and it was a great success, thanks to all of our sponsors.
West Monument Park Road, National Forest System Road (NFSR No. 630) will be temporarily closed in late July to allow the Forest Service to repair damages from a landslide.
